I am blessed to have the opportunity to do something that I love. I have done freelance commercial art and graphic design work for local businesses, organizations, and friends and family since 1980 when I designed and painted a logo for a cheese factory on their bulk trucks. I was previously employed as a high school and middle school English teacher, and hold a bachelor of science degree from UW-Madison in English Secondary Education with a minor in Creative Writing, and a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Viterbo University. During my teaching career I had the opportunity to develop a Mass Media course that integrated hands-on practice in journalism, advertising and film-making, and directed the high school musical for eight years including set and costume design. I also worked for a local television station for over two years in their Sales and Marketing Department, developing not only schedules, but commercial concepts, assisting clients by providing pre-production with scripts and commercial photography. Purchasing Summers/North Productions this past summer and developing it into a business that encompasses all of the things that I feel passionate about is truly a dream come true. From concept and design to production to its final placement on radio, television or in print, I am proud to work for you and with you to help you achieve your marketing goals. |
